About Heard Counseling
At Heard Counseling, we believe that healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Founded by Kaitlyn Lewis, LPC, our group practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals, couples, and families navigating life’s challenges.

Life’s transitions, past experiences, and emotional struggles can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. Whether you are managing anxiety, depression, past trauma, or relationship concerns, our team is here to support you in reclaiming your voice, strengthening your resilience, and creating a more fulfilling life.

Specialties & Expertise
At Heard Counseling, we specialize in treating a wide range of mental health challenges, including:

  • Anxiety, Depression, & Stress Management – Learn to navigate overwhelming emotions and develop healthier coping strategies.
  • Trauma & PTSD Recovery – Heal from past wounds and reclaim your sense of safety and control.
  • Life Transitions & Identity Development – Gain clarity and confidence as you navigate major life changes.
  • Relationship & Family Counseling – Strengthen communication, connection, and trust in your relationships.
  • Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy – Support for Autism, ADHD, and late-identified neurodivergence.
  • Therapy for First Responders & Military Personnel – Specialized care for those who serve and protect.
Therapeutic Philosophy

We understand that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. Each individual brings their own experiences, strengths, and challenges into the therapy room. Our approach is:

  • Collaborative: You are the expert on your life. We work together to uncover the tools that work best for you.
  • Compassionate & Nonjudgmental: We create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment.
  • Evidence-Based & Tailored to You: Our team utilizes a range of research-backed modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Attachment-Based Therapy, among others.
